Head of Partnerships - Heja Sports
Heja is on a mission to connect the 1.5 billion people in the world of youth sports. This is an opportunity to make a real social impact on children's health and lifestyle at scale. In a few years, we've grown to over 2.6 million users in 50+ countries with our main markets in the U.S., UK, Australia, and New Zealand. Thousands more are joining every day to meet, unite, and develop together.
Our growing Partnerships team is looking to add a sales driven, team-first leader to come in, roll up their sleeves and find future digital advertising partners of all shapes and sizes to purchase premium ad space inside Heja’s app while leading the existing team on those efforts. Heja has a very unique (and captive) audience to offer our partners and we are looking for the perfect person to help maximize our outreach to brands at a time when our user base is rapidly accelerating globally.

In this position, you will...
- Lead our team of existing Brand Partnership Managers and maximize ad-revenue inside and outside of the Heja app.
- Generate your own leads through outreach to potential partners: advertisers purchasing premium ad space in Heja’s fast-growing app.
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities in the US (and globally).
- Maintain a pipeline and work within the Partnerships team to achieve established goals.

- Desire an opportunity to help scale the Partnerships team at a growing international startup. We are a year into our Partnerships journey and this is very much an opportunity to help take the team and company to new heights.
- Enjoy the challenge and creativity required to initiate conversations with companies that may be interested in Heja's audience but may be unaware of Heja.
- Have experience in brainstorming potential categories to send outreach.
- Have experience in leading a sales team while being extremely organized and diligent.
- Love sales, are highly motivated, never complacent.
- Have experience with Account Management.
- Qualifications
- Have experience with (mandatory):
- Minimum of 6-10 years of business development, sales, and/or sponsorship experience.
- Minimum of 3 years with people leadership
- Sales tools such as CRM, lead generation etc.
- Nice-to-have experience (bonus):
- Have experience in selling digital assets.
- Have experience with sports-based assets.
- Love sports.
- Have existing connections with potential partners and youth sports/membership organizations.
- Have experience with (mandatory):

- Remote work setup with great flexibility - you can utilize our top-of-the-line office in Chicago while working from home a couple of days per week - plus the chance to fly in for our fully-compensated team events organized in Sweden!
