We have two offices in Sweden (Stockholm and Örebro), but also a strong remote work culture, so you can join from wherever you wish.

Heja is the home where youth sports teams grow together. It’s where they coordinate their activities, where they chat and where they share photos, moments and memories.
The Heja team are passionate about the positive impact team sports have on young people, and the world: from building lasting friendships and encouraging healthy lifestyles, to bridging cultures. Our vision is that young people everywhere should have access to team sports and its benefits.
Heja first launched in 2017. In just over three years we've grown to 1,000,000 users with sports teams in the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, among others.

About the position
You'll join a curious, open-minded, and self-governing team. We're honest and not afraid to speak our minds, and we rely on the trust, support, and knowledge of our teammates.
We're motivated by building elegant and straightforward solutions – we'd like you to share this passion with us.
You'll have a key role in forming how to scale and architect new and current systems both in backend and client. Today most services build on Node with React Native and mongoDB, and we prefer if you have knowledge within these areas, its quirks and workarounds. Building world-class services is hard; we expect that you should be able to help us tackle some of these challenges:
- Scaling to millions of users
- Automate testing
- Keeping it lean (not building a monolith)
- New features for a best-in-class experience
